Today's Relief Society Lesson

It has been such a wonderful day, starting off with my newest cousin, Dustin Levi Bigler, getting blessed in my aunts ward.  Babies are beautiful things, precious, little blessings from heaven.

Today's lesson was mostly about finding our Center's in life.  What have we made the center of our lives?  I was amazed at how many things were at the Center of my life that shouldn't have been.  School, work, finding time to sleep....all good things, but things that shouldn't be at the center.  Christ should be the center of my life.  If he is the center, everything will simply fall into place around him.

"Christ changes men, and men change the world."

"An entire revolution of the inner man (women)."

A mighty change of heart.  No more disposition to do evil, but to do good continually.

We also learned about expressing our love for Christ.  Maybe if we expressed it more, we would feel it more.  For me, that pointed all arrows at testimonies.  They are so important.  And one of the best ways to strengthen them, is truly, the bear them.

"The Lord works from the inside out.  The world works from the outside in."
There could not be more truth in that statement.  The lord will always start with our hearts.  Which is why our hearts should always be open.  One of the ways I have learned to keep both an open heart and mind, is by having a Positive Mental Attitude (PMA).  My dad taught me about that when hiking up trails as a young girl.  Whenever I was tired and would begin to complain, he would say, PMA Jasmine, thats the only way you'll make it to the end.  Keep telling yourself you can, and you will be able to make it.  Don't burden yourself with doubt, it makes the journey long and hard.

What a great day it has been.  I am so grateful for the wonderful life I have been blessed with.

  2. I learn better by repetition and so it was great to go over all of this again after being there today. I thought of this saying I heard once when Sis Reid was giving the lesson today: "We are not spirits having a mortal experience but mortals having a spiritual experience." And Jasmine, we all love having you in there with us!
